Happy Mothe`s Day

The origins of the celebration of Mother's Day dates back to pagan times. We can trace its roots in Greek mythology, which surrendered honor of Rhea, the mother of Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto.
The celebration of Mother's Day is imposed in the U.S., from the idea of Ana Jarvis. El objective of this young man was honoring the memory of his mother, having contributed during and after the civil war.
Thanks to this, around 1810, much of America began to celebrate this big day, until the year 1914, Congress declared the day a national holiday.
Many other countries joined the celebration of Mother's Day around the time.

Most Latin American countries celebrate Mother's Day the second Sunday of May. This is how Sunday May 8, 2011 marks the day of the mother in Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela. In Canada and the United States also held on this date.

But Mexico, Guatemala and Salvador is celebrated on May 10, Paraguay in May 1915... In Nicaragua May 30, Costa Rica in August 1915 (Ascension Day), in Argentina the third Sunday in October (October 16, 2011) and in Panama on December 8 (Immaculate Conception)
